» Male Phallus

Could anyone tell me the history behind the festival, around spring time, where the male phallus is worshipped? Lots of women carrying around a large 'male member' does fascinate. Here's a link about Hounen Matsuri, presented by the Yamasa Institute (http://www.japanreference.com/cgi-bin/jump.cgi?ID=657) => http://www.yamasa.org/japan/english/destinations/aichi/tagata_jinja.htmlThank you Thomas....very inciteful. Interesting part about the 'souvenir candy'.....!!?? :DIt has always been a point of interest for me too(no pun intended, of course). It's a long-running joke between my husband and me. I always have to find some way to ask him about--as I refer to it as--the p***s shrine. Also, there is a shrine for the female "part"...... - 2010-03-11

» How would Darwin have explained the evolution of the Zebra's stripes from an ancestral population?

There is a hypothesis that when light is reflected from the black to white stripes of a zebra, and approaching tse-tse fly becomes confused. The fly has difficulty finding its way to the beast to bite it. As a result, and scientists have documented this, zebras are only inferequently infected by the parasite Plasmodium, a unicellular parasite carried by the tse-tse fly. How would Darwin have explained the evolution of the Zebra's stripes from an ancestral population?Zebra ancestors probably existed with a range of possible colorations but out of the many offspring the individuals that inherited the least tsetse attractive colors and patterns had better chances of avoiding the nagana disease the flies transmit. The original zebra popu...... - 2010-03-11

» User account linking

Can two separate user accounts be manually, automatically, inadvertently linked together that have separate IPs? Im assuming the answer is no unless two different accounts were created under one IP? ThanksUsers can have multiple accounts. They are not linked. Once created, it is possible to merge them into 1 account. I don't really see how multiple accounts can be linked, how would that work on a forum, what's the purpose?IP addresses are stored for logging purposes and have no real bearing on the "identity" of a user. Which makes complete sense since IP addresses change and people login from home, work, on vacation, etc....... - 2010-03-11

» Is it ok to use pay pal?...(or other such services)?

What are the safe guards? what are the draw backs/ Do you know people that got ripped off? The safeguard is that you have proof that you sent money, you aren't showing the seller your credit card number, etc. The drawback is that you are still doing a long distance purchase. If the seller doesn't send the item, you still have a problem and it's not Paypal's fault.paypal is one of the safest online payments... it protects you against online scams... if somehow the merchant decides to scam you, paypal will return your money (process can take up to 14-21days) either way you get your money back..so it is safe and no risk... i do not buy from any site unless paypal is offered.. alertpay is good also but they do not ...... - 2010-03-11

» Down by the creek

This is from a recent family session. C&C welcome. I am working on how i edit my images so please be honest and tough if you need to. I can only learn from the seasoned pros on how to make my images better. The two little guys started the morning a little grumpy but once they warmed up we had a lot of fun. This park is where the family spends a lot of their time so it was a special location and one of my favorites. 1. I love this photo. » Using WMI to do a WINTEL inventory

Background. I have been tasked with doing an estate discovery of windows servers within some domains. I have a list of domains, and know that the estate contains a mixture of Windows NT4 and Windows 2000 servers and workstations. I have started to develop a WMI script, of which I am new too. The WMI script basically does the following: Try to ping the device in the domain if Ping is successful then get the following info OS OS Version Role (i.e. Member Server or Member workstation or Standalone or Prim DC or etc...) The problem I am having is that when the code discovers a NT4 server I can ping it but cannot get any info. I believe this is because WMI is not compatible with NT4. Is there anyway around this? i.e. u...... - 2010-03-11

Hello, 1. Is the vBulletin template rendering system slower than phpBB? Unlike vBulletin, phpBB doesn't rely on database-driven templates but rather uses ".tpl" files for template definition so that may result is less SQL queries .. right? 2. Can someone design a phpBB 2 (subBlue) like template plus design mod for my upcoming vBulletin? The phpBB 2 forums use the subBlue design at http://phpbb.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ I want to clarify these issues before I buy vBulletin and I can't post in other forums for help since I'm not a customer yet. Both Albert's daddy and Brian's daddy are engineers making pretty good income in Silicon Valley. One day, Albert says to Brian, "My daddy has learned a neat trick to save money for my college fund." » How can you tell what face shape you have?

I have never been able to tell!Hey, I know a way to determine your face shape. Look in the mirror and trace the outline of your face with a eyeliner pen or lipstick or what ever will mark the mirror. The shape that you traced is your face shape. Face Shape Results: Oblong Face:Your face is longer than wide. Going short to medium on your face is key. Do soft, wispy bangs, and fullness at the sides of your face. Don t have too much hair length as it will elongate your face. So, when it hits your shoulders, bring it back up to chin level or just below. Oval Face: Your face length is almost exactly 1 1/2 times longer than the width of your face. What can we do if anything to stop them?I could write a book on the subject! IMO it's pure spite, as I've come across this in the cricket section, where a certain member has taken a dislike to me for some reason unknown to me.A troll is a fearsome member of a race of creatures from Norse mythology. Originally more or less the Nordic equivalents of giants, although often smaller in size, the different depictions have come to range from the fiendish giants similar to the ogres of England (also called Trolls at times, Troller's Gill) to a devious, more human-like folk of the wilderness, living underground in hills, caves or mounds. In the Faroe islands, Orkney and Shetland tales, trolls are called trows, adopted from the...... - 2010-03-11

I'm doing a shoot for a series of portraits tonight for a photo class of mine. All 8 of my models will be wearing the same black, long sleeve shirt and sitting in front of the same background. The background consists of an off-white wall with a tall, bright flourescent light attached to it. This gives off a nice, bright glow. My model will be sitting about a 2 feet to the left of the light. I DO NOT want a shadow cast on their faces, though. However, i would like to see all the detail of their facial features/expressions and also a nice contrast with the black shirt they're wearing. » Is it harmful in anyway to have sex and decide to NEVER(as in for years and years) ejaculate?

would blue balls be harmful if it happened daily?I can't imagine it would be good for your reproductive organs. Why on earth would you CHOOSE not to ejaculate? Not being able to is a different story.it wouldn't be harmful that i know of but you would get bored of not doing it.Ejaculating helps prevent prostate cancer, so not ever doing does make you more likely to get it. Why on earth would not want 2?You would probably have nocturnal emission (wet dreams), so the sperm would clear out & make room for new sperm. You'd probably get used to delayed/denied ejaculation & not get the pain of blue balls as often. As one respondent wrote, there is minimal data to suggest frequent ejaculation may help prevent prostate cancer by ...... - 2010-03-11

I cant see how you can end up being with someone if you did not lust after them, even if its just a little bit....there has to be some kind of physical attraction.,,,lust is not saying "wow she is hot" its going the extra mile saying "wow she is hot, i want to have sex with her"First before I say anything, I'm not Christian, I do not really have a religion I believe in fully, but what I'm saying is what Ive learned through the time I considered myself "christian" -Everybody sins in one way or another. It is unavoidable... and no one sin is greater or worse than any other... Such as, lust is no greater a sin than envy or adultery......... - 2010-03-11

who can teaching me trading forex online ?Well, there is no better way to learn than doing... why not set up a free account on www.bullbearings.com, you can trade Shares, CFD's (Contract for Difference), Spread bet on shares and indexes and also the Forex. There is information on how each one works, and you can set up a league and compete with friends and family. As well as that I would get some books on the subject, then sign up for a demo account with a "real" broker. Teach yourself and read a few forums. Nothing is free, and you won't get rich off of someone elses back.Forget forex trading ;-) I can teach you how to trade stocks... and make some decent living.. email: hi_am_akshay@india.com Akshay...... - 2010-03-11

Thanks --Pete.Hey Pete, I re-created a similar scenario on my PC, and I was able to get the background color to display. It's also a deadly-germ machine. So says the American Academy of Pediatrics, which warns parents that many of the "easy" petsthe ones that don't shed, don't need to be walked, and don't throw up on the sofapose serious health threats to young children. ok well i smoke about 3-5 cigarettes a day is that really bad or is it ok?That's fine. Remember, it usually takes smokers dozens of years of smoking multiple packs of cigarettes a day for any serious health problems to develop. Three cigarettes a day is not going to harm you that much.A Dr told my friend if she smoke 1 cig a day it's as bad as smoking several.any and all cigarettes are bad for your health. Its not just tobacco in those. Why smoke at all? Why be a slave to cigarettes and waste your hard earned money? It's bad. Any bit of nicotine will accumulate. Also, should 2 SATA HD's be enough or should I concentrate on one SCSI? The only issues I have seen is there is not a rss feed. and some of the links only go to the video and are not the direct download link. The reason in wanting this script is that the links are already tried and tested as well as pruned when they are not working. So if it is possible that would be great. If this is in the wrong place, please move it. As part of some work that I am doing, I contacted the media spokespeople at HHS and spoke to Bill Hall, Director of the Press Office regarding why there was a 2-week "Store food and water" directive when waves of influenza in any given community would likely endure 6-8 weeks. Here is his answer: 1) The guidance is related to looking at the wave of infection as a Bell Curve. At the earliest parts of the wave and at the last parts of that wave, they expect that food and supplies  will be available. They are expecting that at the peak of the wave of infection -- around 2 weeks or so -- food and other supplies may not be available. So...the 2 weeks is to tide people over for that p...... - 2010-03-11

so that their chances of staying married increase?Divorce rate high...well because people are no longer committed to relationships...everything is so disposable, so it seems marriage is as well. It's also because society is acceptable of this. 30 years ago, when people divorced, the people were looked down on, thus no one would get a divorce cause they didn't want friends/family/church members looking down on them. Same thing with teen pregnancies.... Best advice for happy marriage: don't go to bed angry.
