How do you write a very tragic story? ?
  • Based on actual events?
    How do you start it?
Do you usually change things around in it?
Such as names, locations, ages, main events....

I dont want my story to be totally different from the truth.
But in my case, the truth is very tragic.
I want to put it in there, but in a sneaky sort of way...
    Do you understand?

Like, I tell exactly what happened.....but not quite upfront and obvious..

    How can I do this?
    PLEASE help.

  • okay, first off(unless you already have a story line) think of what people hold nearest to them and then find a way to crush and twist it into agonizing and unrecognizable thing....
First off, start with the when.....maybe the where......and the who...you tell it from another person's point of view so that it won't be obvious until it happens and use alot of double meanings....it should work that way.

  • just start where it all began
like when you felt that things were weird or whatever
be sure to give enough background info so the reader knows who's who and what's what.

  • Start with where it all started.
Don't rush into tragedy. You know how all stories begin, and that's how you want to.
You can change characters, but keep the ages so the readers of various ages can kinda relate. You can change locations, but NEVER change the events.

If you're aiming to tell it how you saw it never change the events.

  • With a pen and paper, maybe a typewriter. Maybe even a word processor and a good old computer keyboard. Pencils are nice, but I prefer blue or black ink. Then you have to use a little thing i like to call coordination and intelligence to form little letters that make up words. Have fun!

  • How About You Start off with the Tragedy then You Retell the Story but with everyone names hidden. But not to much Character Building in the beginning or they will know... Definitely Maybe is a good movie to watch and uses something like this where the Dad tells the daughter his life story but hides the names of the women in his life and the kid has to figure out who her mother was.
