If a man in the military marries a woman while on active duty overseas what is the process of bringing her to the US once he ends his tour of duty? Is it the same if any man went to another country to get married or are there special circumstances for a military wife?
I am asking this cause my older brother who is 41 met some woman off the internet in the Philipines. He is currently in Iraq but he told me the military was sending him on vacation for 2 weeks to whereever he wanted to go..and then I guess he told my little sister he was going to go marry that woman that he has never met and then he told my step mom that the woman has a 7yr old son and that the military did a paternaty test in the Philipines and the kid is him...which is crap cause the kid is 7 and he has never been to the Philipines...I was just wondering what would happen if he did marry that woman, how would he bring her here or what would happen...Needless to say my dad is SUPER PISSED but what can you do..he's 41 and I don't know...he is crazy of we are to believe his off the wall stories...I think something is wrong with him mentally..and sometimes I wonder if its some scam for him to send her money and they he gets there and they murder him or something...we have not heard from him since my dad got mad at him..this was right after Thanksgiving...what do you guys think?He may just be marrying her so she can be a citizen. But the DNA stuff is crap. But other countries will allow these things. If he does marry her he can bring her home with him. who wants his money--the father of her kid is some john who paid her for sex. your brother has mental issues.well if he married her, the military would have her placed on his page 2 (just a page in his records) he could get an extra 2000.00 or more for housing/'>housing and food for her plus separation pay while he's in Iraq, and she would be a US citizen and be allowed to move to the US and onto a military base (they'd pay to move her stuff)... there's nothing anyone can do about it if that's what he wants... he's 41, guys in the military get married overseas all the time, the girls in those countries are poor and looking for anyway out... maybe your brother made an arrangement with this woman to get her and her son out of their country, it might not be a love thing, it might be a helping thing... instead of being pissed you should support your brotherThe Philippine lady may looking for a way out of her poor country

He is marrying a stranger!If your brother is that dumb, then maybe he ought to be on point more when his fireteam goes out on patrol, I can't believe he believes that BS, being on point does wonders for making someone aware of their surroundings, he needs to get a grip and quit being so silly, the military will never, ever in any shape or form do something like that, they really don't care about that stuff, they just want people who will fight. Any kids your brother may have fathered is not theie concern, so doubt they did that, and doubt if he is going there, they don't tell you to take a 'vacation', it is called R&R and while he can go whereever he wants, doubt if he is going there.
